Bio:
Anita Johnston, Ph.D. is the director of the Anorexia & Bulimia Center of Hawaii, which she co-founded in 1982. She is the clinical director and founder of the 'Ai Pono Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorders Program in Honolulu and Maui. She also has developed and runs programs for bariatric surgery patients who struggle with eating disorders.

Dr. Johnston is a clinical psychologist, story-teller, and author of Eating in the Light of the Moon: how women can transform their relationships with food through myth, metaphor, and storytelling which has been published in five languages. She has a private practice specializing in eating disorders and women's issues and conducts workshops and professional trainings, often as keynote speaker, throughout the country.
