The issues surrounding eating, body image and self-esteem are complex. Eating disorders & other self-harm behaviors have underlying causes. CEDAR Associates utilizes a multi-model and multi-disciplinary approach combining insight, relational, and cognitival behavioral approaches. Therapeutic relationship is important in recovery. All specialists in field of eating disorders provide treatment and emphasize the unique circumstances each person brings to treatment. Despite overlap in symptoms among patients, there is no uniform treatment approach for all patients. CEDAR Associates offers on-going eating disorder groups and specialized intensive short-term groups including a 12 week Intensive Bulimia Group. Goal of treatment is to provide safe & trusting environment for recovery to occur.
