I maintain a private practice in The Woodgate Office Building and have over 25 years of experience treating eating disorders, post-traumatic stress, depression and anxiety disorders. My psychotherapy approach is client-centered and includes cognitive/behavioral, psychodynamic, transactional, and family systems elements as appropriate. I have advanced training in EMDR & hypnotherapy. It has been my privilege to work with many adult survivors of childhood trauma who had learned to use food and/or alcohol as ways to handle stress. The pain, fear and shame associated with addictive behaviors can be replaced with healthier coping styles that promote self-understanding and healing.
