Hematite is a mineral with a high iron content, we see it from the livers magnetized (polarized) to make games. Its name comes from the laton hematite which means blood, when hematite is reduced and wet it becomes red as blood. It is also called bloodstone, anhydroferrite, micaceous iron, red oxidized iron, specular iron, brown hematite, red hematite, hematitogelite.

The color of the mineral can be gray, black, brown, gray, bluish, red.
Its chemical composition is iron(III) oxide of formula Fe2O3.
Its crystallization is Rhombohedral.
The mineral comes mainly from Spain, Norway and Brazil.
